Catholic Charities has requested the following items for Clean-up Kits and Personal Hygiene Kits – Please donate whatever you can.

Clean-Up Kits

5-gallon bucket with resealable lid

  • Buckets from fast-food restaurants or bakeries can be used if washed and cleaned
  • Do not use buckets that have stored chemicals such as paint or pool cleaners or chlorine
  • Advertisements on the outside are acceptable

Liquid laundry detergent – 50 ounce bottle or two 25 ounce bottles

Liquid household cleaner – (no spray cleaners) 12-16 ounce liquid cleaners that can be mixed with water

Dish soap – 16-28 ounce bottle any brand

Can of air freshener – aerosol or pump

Insect repellant spray – 6-14 ounce aerosol or spray pump with protective cover

Scrub brush – plastic or wooden handle

Cleaning wipes – (no terry cleaning towels) Handi Wipes or reusable wipes, removed from packaging

Sponges – (no cellulose sponges due to mold issues) please remove from wrapper

Scouring Pads – (no stainless steel, brillo pads or SOS pads or others with soap built-in)

Clothespins

Clotheslines – 100 foot line or two 50 foot lines, cotton or plastic

Heavy-duty trash bags – 33 to 45 gallon size, removed from box

Dust masks

Kitchen dishwashing gloves – durable enough for multiple uses, removed from packaging

Work gloves – cotton with leather palm or all leather

 

Personal Hygiene Kits – (please try to donate complete kit in a plastic zipper bag)

Wrapped bar of soap

toothbrush

toothpaste – travel size

mouthwash – travel size

anti-persperant

Jergens or other hand moisturizer

Pert or other shampoo – travel size

Sanell or other instant hand sanitizer
